NICOLA AND TINUS

Nicola and Tinus exchanged wedding vows on the 7th of March, in front of family and friends, at Botlierskop Private Game Reserve, just outside Klein Brak River. It was a real international wedding. Nicola’s family came all the way from Wales to meet Tinus’s South African family and celebrate this special day. Being a foreigner, I know how important it is to share these special moments with family members from home, far away.

I knew that every single moment captured on that day will mean the world to Nicola and Tinus. And to their entire family. No pressure at all! I was on a mission, to quote Nicola’s mother: «to preserve that day through the lens, into an image, so that their special day will always be remembered!» Thank you Nicola and Tinus for a gorgeous wedding!

Surisa and Ronald Wedding Day.

Wedding of beautiful Surisa and Ronald. These love birds traveled all the way from Pretoria to celebrate their wedding day surrounded by the unique beauty of the Garden Route’s stunning landscapes. They have chosen Fancourt, South Africa’s premier golf resort in George, to host their big day. Surisa was incredibly calm throughout the whole day, impressive, considering that everything had to be arranged from Pretoria. The wedding ceremony was run and blessed by her grandfather, which made the event even more special. Surisa’s gentle nature, bride and groom’s evident love for each other and elegant style of the whole wedding blended so naturally together.

Surisa and Ronald’s wedding shoot was an inspiring collaboration with Eon Coetzee from Eonmedia. I can’t wait to see Eon’s wedding video creation!

ILZE AND TAL

Amazing, fairy-like wedding in the forest of Knysna. Ilze and Tal made a lifelong promise to each other at their self-made altar at Jubilee Creek, outside Knysna. The ceremony was very special, with lots of tears, smiles and blessings. At times it was challenging to stay focused. All I wanted to do is to watch these beautiful souls dancing with each other in their celebration and bathe in their love.

Ceremony was followed by fun reception at Totties, outside Knysna. Its impossible not to mention creative decorations and unique style of the wedding, created by bride Ilze. Thank you Ilze and Tal for a wonderful experience!

I was privileged to photograph a wedding day of a beautiful couple Ilze and Tal. Ilze decided to make a special gift to her future husband and take boudoir photographs. Boudoir shoot was arranged on the wedding day in the lovely vintage Sun Room at Portland Manor, Knysna. I had to slightly crop the images to keep them more private. Vanessa is the owner of the Besters’ Bridal Boutique in Knysna, hence the gorgeous dress and shoes, and Darryl is the artist behind Goldsmiths Knysna. It sounds like a match made in heaven.  Wedding rings were designed by the groom as a wedding gift. Their ceremony was special indeed. Lots of smiles, tears and laughter.

NASTYA AND DENIS

Wedding Geographic is an international wedding & adventure-travel agency, whose aim it is to create special weddings abroad for adventurous couples. Your Foto Story is proud to represent South Africa on the Wedding Geographic world map.

Going on honeymoon and travelling somewhere new is almost as exciting as looking into the eyes of your life partner and saying “I do”, so why not combine the two? More and more couples are looking toward an adventurous wedding abroad! Not only is it the adventure of a lifetime with that special one, it also affords you the opportunity of creating your own wedding ceremony instead of following old patterns that may not resonate with the way you feel.

Buffels Bay was the setting for our most recent international wedding! We created a sand ceremony and built a beautiful wedding arch on the beach, underneath which the couples could exchange their vows. We prepared a wedding feast and we decorated the house to suit the mood.

We were as moved by the effect of it all, as was the bride and groom. They were truly touched. The ceremony was intimate, personal and the meaning was drawn from deep down within us all.

True love is a commitment and needs to be constantly renewed. True love is a choice that we make from moment to moment, for the rest of our lives. Every day we make that choice over and over again. We may only have one wedding ceremony and say ‘yes, I do’ only once, but through life, again and again, we come to accept our partners for the people they are and we forgive them for whatever needs to be forgiven. True love is not the passion of the first night, but rather the endurance of the years thereafter. True love doesn’t come all at once. It starts small and if it is nurtured it grows strong. That is what makes it so beautiful.

A whole team of people worked to make that day in Buffels Bay beautiful. I would like to thank everyone involved for helping to make Nastya & Denis’s dreams come true!
