Photographer with a “foreign eye”
Jenya is originally from Russia, but chose the Garden Route, South Africa to be her home.
From corporate marketing in Saint-Petersburg, masters’ degree research in Amsterdam, to arts industry event management in Cape Town, photography has always been her passion and constant companion.
Her photography work is therapeutic for those who come in front of her lens. Through quality interactive photo sessions she aims to discover people’s beauty, creativity and unrealized potential.
She believes that her task is to help people reveal that which is already there, lying dormant within.
Her favorite photographic projects are: portraits, families, weddings, boudoir, couple, surf and nature photography, food and coverage of various events.
She operates in the Garden Route, South Africa, as well as in Cape Town. Any other locations are welcome on request.
Jenya Zhivaleva worked on some exciting projects:
- A South African representative for a Russian wedding agency “Wedding Geographic”
- In-house photographer for travel company Unravel Surf Travel, Outreach Program The Surfer Kids Non-Profit ,
- A contributor of photographs to Mossel Tourism, South magazine, Pinnacle Point Golf Estate and others.

Hello Linda, thank you for your nice feedback! I am busy with Nicola and Tinus’s photos. Normally it takes me 2 months to finish all the photos, because I go through all of them individually.
